The manual contradicts itself. On page 4 it states "The batteries can be charged even if they are not completely discharged..."
On page 91 it states "If you recharge Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries before fully using up the existing charge, the low battery warning may be displayed sooner than expected. This is called 'memory effect'. If this problem occurs, charging the batteries only after using up the existing charge will correct it."

Update your sample picture website. It says it was taken ISO-50 on the linked page.
I was wondering if you had used a picture from a different cam or just had a typo....then I clicked on the link from the full size image and you ISO-100 identified.

Thanks for the great review, I would like to see you elaborate a little more ont the different choices of memory sticks and how the high-speed sticks differ from the regular sticks.

Nobody uses Ni-Cd batteries anymore. The camera comes with NiMH batteries. They have no memory effect.

Very comprehensive (Reply to this comment)

Pity you have not read the manual.
E.g. the battery charger takes 6 hrs to fully charge the 2 Ni Cad batteries needed. The batteries have a memory so should be fully discharged before recharging if neccessary use the slide show feature to discharge them fully.
I would suggest taking an extra set with you when on a shoot.
