A very helpful and knowledgeable review. (Reply to this comment)

I am on the market for a larger digital non SLR zoom presently, and found your review very informative and consistent with everything else I've read. I have a Canon A95 now, which has been a wonderful camera for what it is, but I long for more lens. I haven't had a sony since a 14X optical FD91 (a dinosaur now at 800K pixels), but I remember really being impressed with the lens on that camera (I could get a good shot of players on the 50 yard line from the cheap seats of Heinz field), but was less than impressed with the clunkiness of it, the juggling of 1.44mb 3.5" floppies, and the generally poor resolution. Wow have digital cameras come a long way! I have Nikon and Minolta 35mm and APS camera (that I rarely ever use now), but I just haven't liked their digital offerings. Since the A95 has impressed me, I will probably stick with Canon and most likely got for an S3.
I also find the price of both the Sony cameras and the memory sticks a bit too high, and from what I've read all over the net, there are just better options in quality and price.
Thanks again for your insight.
