Shallow - all looks with nothing inside

Pros: good looks, modern design, all-in-one package

Cons: terrible software and quality

The Bottom Line: avoid this high-end wannabe.. she looks good, but she'll leave you hurting.

Looks aside, this Sony package is a total let down. Generally, the package looks good, but the gray plastic caps on the top of the speakers are a bit cheesey. The glow in the dark feature on the remote is fairly useless. On the up-side, the unit is actually made of metal, which lessens the brie factor. The internals are where the real problems lay. The system likes to revert to foreign subtitles -- mid-movie! Sony, of course, is unwilling to accept any responsibility. Now, after about 10 months of ownership, complete, smooth playback of any full-length DVD is impossible. The sound is also on the weak side.. my Dell 5.1 speakers crank a lot better quality and punch for a third of the money.
