DCR-TRV 33 (Reply to this comment)

I just bought the Sony DCR-TRV 33 today because of the many great reviews I read on Epinions. I too was debating on Cannon but I was afraid that I might get noise on playback on the Cannon ZR series. Another reason I went with sony is because I bought a 8MM camera 6 years ago and wanted something that I could trust.
Another major feature on Sony is the Carl Ziess lense which other cameras cannot boast. The easy to use LCD screen is better than most cameras and its eaiser to navigate through the menu.
Yet the #1 reason I bought this camera is because its so light and small to take with me on an oversea trip. The size is smaller than my Sony digital camera. Its light and has so many great professional features. The editing software is included as well as an easy to understand comprehensive manual.
If you want a good camera go with Sony. The price was right $650 130 for 3 yr warranty at Frys. For $20 dollars more I got a 5 pack of high quality tapes.
I don't really mind the battery time as I know how to record and keep track of battery time. I do not ucontinusely record and turn off the camera or have it on standby. In the future I wouldn't mind dishing out another $130 dollars for a good battery. But for now this is good enough.
I am also happy with the 8MB storage card as well as the easy hookups to my TV,VCR and computer. I can't wait to try the editing feature.
I am just psyched that I got such a good camera for the price. I mean if I went the JVC or Samsung way I would not get features such as Super Nightshot,Steadyshot and more of the Sony features.
The Auto Exposers and digital effects are very high tech and I don't have to worry about bringing home a unprofessional video.
Your review was to the point.
Thanks again.
