Pros: Sony brand name

Cons: NO Date/Time superimposing available

The Bottom Line: If you want to a date time stamp on your video, forget this model and get the TRV318 instead, save your money.

We thought we'd try this newer Handycam out, as we have had experience with an older Sony Handycam that we were very pleased with. We purchased this one because it was the most advanced model that our old Super-8 tapes were compatible with. BUT, today, after owning it a few days, we discovered that this model can NOT superimpose the date time on the video! Quite a basic feature to be lacking. Needless to say, we're returning it for the 318, which is a couple of hundred cheaper, AND has a date-time stamp available. Sheesh! Who could have known that such a basic feature was missing???
