It played dvds the JVC xv-d701 would not read, including disneys dinosaur and scary movie. Nice looking, has extras for sound and video tweaking, if you want to use them. Easy to use remotes main controls. Not difficult to use the basic features. Reliable.

I made backup cdr copies of my audio cds, but they would not play on this player. It does a great job for what it was made to do play DVDs.

I am very happy with this purchase.
