I bought this product about a year ago. I was looking for a CD player with a built-in radio, and this was the best-priced item I found. I bought it for about $150, but that was a year ago, so now it sells for $100.
I always look at features when I buy electronics, so that's the reason I bought this CD player -- its great features. It has everything you would want in a CD player: awesome shock protection, mega bass boost, programming capability, a "hold" button so nothing happens by accident, a "resume" switch that remembers where you stopped the CD so you can continue playing it from the exact same spot later, etc.
It even has a separate "line-out" jack, if you want to hook it up to some bigger equipment.
Don't forget that it has a digital radio, which you can preset to a number of stations. Most of the time, reception is very clear. That will vary with ANY radio, though.
I DID have a problem with it. Once day, it just stopped playing. The CD would spin, but there was no sound coming out of it. We called the customer service hotline, and they said to send it to them. We did, and they fixed it free of charge (but we had to pay shipping, of course), and send it back in a fairly short amount of time. There was a defect in one of the parts that they had to fix. So the product I bought was defective, however, I was impressed with their quick service. And it works great now that it's fixed. I wouldn't worry about the one you buy being defective, since it only happens rarely and by chance.
Bottom line: It's worth the bucks. It'll be hard to find a CD player with more features, by a trusted brand, for less.
