| gezebo's Full Review: Sony Walkman D-F411 Personal CD Player |
The Sony D-F411 is the coolest CD player I've ever seen. It's the first and few out there that have a DIGITAL radio tuner built in. Like many of Sonys products it has a lot of features that are native to Sony audio equipment.
Did I mention it has the AM/FM tuner? Finally someone decided to merge the CD player and a radio. I think that is great for when you're out of CD's or your low battery power can't sustain a CD spinning. Or if you just don't want to bring your 200 CD collection with you. Then my favorite feature from Sony, the Mega Bass option or on this model as they properly called it "Groove". They also have all the regular features like resume, hold, and ESP (electronic shock protection). Not just the ten seconds you get with others, or twenty seconds, but it has 40 seconds of buffer space to provide you with skip free listening no matter what you are doing. With 18 hours of battery life where can you go wrong? That is 18 hours of listening for two AA batteries. Unfortunately I bought the lower model number and the only thing that I wish I got with this CD player is the inline remote (could be purchased separate, but costly). That would be another beautiful option....OHHH!!.. But with the AC adapter, you don't even need batteries if you are not going anywhere without a power socket. It even has a miniplug to RCA adapter to allow you to easily add this portable to any home system.
Finally a portable CD player that doesn't make your CD collection a part of your portable baggage.
Although listed a 149.99 here, I got mine at target! hehe... Gotta Love it!;)
