I have owned this CD player for about 5 months now. I use it quit frequently and think it is the best one I have ever had. I love the am/fm feature!! You will never know how much you will love it until you have it. I think I use the radio feature more than the CD part.. Though the CD part of it is very nice. That device is very easy to use and very durable (I’ve dropped it many times). The batteries last long too. I have a re-chargeable Sony battery that came with a previous model Sony CD player, and think it is a very nice feature. On the other hand, regular batteries work just as well and even better in some cases.
The audio quality is astounding and is just as good as a home unit! And the volume goes up much higher than you might expect.
The reason I bought this is because I used to have the previous model of the radio/CD player that had all the controls built into the cover. I thought that it was going to break off soon. Plus my family needed one for a plane trip.
If you want a portable CD player, go get this one, it’s great! But if you have the money, get the model with all of the extras like the rechargeable battery.
