cramersrus's Full Review: ESPN X Games: Skateboarding for PlayStation 2
First of all, let me say I'm only 12, and found this site while researching buying this game. I am only trying to rate my opinion after purchasing. I found the other opinions helpful to me when doing the research. Please don't blast my opinion if you find errors in it.
It is not a top of the line skateboarding game, but it can hold your interest for HOURS literally. This is an edge-of-your-seat thrilling game. This game is very realistic!The graphics are good. It is NOT as good as THPS3, as you have heard by others many times before. The controls will take a while to master, but but eventually you will.
One thing I dislike is how it will leave you hanging for your scores. The delay is maybe 10 seconds (maximum), and it's very frustrating.
Another problem seems to be that it over-rotates a lot, but you soon get accustomed to it. For the most part it is really fun. There is more than one mode, but only one mode on a 2 player game.The only thing you can do with 2 player is "verses" mode. In my opinion two of the best modes are x games, which that is where you compete in either street competitions, or vert.
There is also an arcade mode which has to be my favorite, because it is most like THPS. There are levels in which you must do certain goals, but there are only a couple levels to play. I found this rather disappointing because on THPS3 there are 12 levels, but it's the next best thing to THPS3.
