My Step-Father gave me my Ericsson Ah630 phone about 6 months ago, and I am so thankful he did. We use if for emergencies only, and thank god we had it the day we went sledding/snow boarding and my 6 year old son hit a tree. We called relatives to meet us at the E.R. to take my daughter to their house, and we called the hospital to tell them we were on our way.
Easy to use and program.
This phone is so easy to use, and program. I am not too mechanically inclined, but I programmed the phone by myself with ease. I like the 99 number capacity it has to program all your friends and family's numbers, so you can hit the rcl/sto, then the number you have assigned your friends phone number to, hit send and it makes the call. Much easier than dialing the whole phone number.
Ringer volume control.
I also like the ringer volume option on this phone. If you are in a meeting or at a function where loud phones ringing interrupts, the first ring is real soft, you can barely hear it, then the next ring is a little louder, giving you the chance to answer it before it gets real obnoxious.
Would be nice if antenna flipped in.
I must agree with another writer, I don't like the fact that the antenna does not flip down, it is a pain to have it sticking up. And I see no purpose for the flip cover, like she said, it does not end calls, or turn the phone on when you flip it down. It is easy to remove however, so we just took it off so it wouldn't get broken.
Attachments
My phone came with a battery recharge pack that plugs in to the wall and also a recharger for the cigarette lighter in your car. You can also purchase the No Hands Driver attachment so you can talk on the phone and drive with both hands on the wheel. Look at your local cell phone carrier for attachments.
All in all this is a great phone. I love all the features it has, and how easy it is to use.
