| WhiteZX2Sport's Full Review: Sony Ericsson CF-688 Cell Phone |
When I went to buy my first cell phone I was surprised at the range in price. Some phones cost $400.00 dollars and some cost only $40.00. I felt that I paid only $60.00 for this Ericsson so it can't be to good, right? Wrong!
Size:
This phone is not the smallest on the market today, but it is not a cumbersome phone by any degree. The phone is not very tall, or wide, it is about the size of standard two button computer mouse. However, the phone is not that light, and that weight comes mostly from the battery. The antenna is fixed, though, it is very short.
Sound Quality:
This sound quality is great. Whenever the network signals are available the conversations are loud and clear. It's sound is comparable to a good 25 channel cordless phone, you defiantly know there is not a wire carrying the call, but it sounds close to it.
Feature:
This phone has many features for the money. It has a calculator, 10 melody rings, 4 tone rings, an active flip (when you open the flip you answer a call, and when you close it you end the call), a large phone book with many different search options, a backlit keypad in which the number are placed on the bottom of the button and not on top where they can where away, and a call timer.
Durability:
This phone is very durable. It has been dropped many times from a couple of feet and has held up well. It has been carried in pockets, pocketbooks, and thrown on the floor of the car. Still, through all this abuse a few scratches are all that grace its surface.
Battery Life:
The standard battery last fairly long, however, the low battery indicators comes on too late, and you can't use the phone once it appears.
Overall:
This is a great phone for almost anyone. It is especially good for those who are buying their first phone, or those who only use their phone for emergencies or rarely. However, a more expensive phone with more features may be better for a business executive or techno. wizard.
