I find the Ericsson KF-788 / LX-788 (the AT&T PCS model I have) to be an excellent phone. The main reason that I purchased it was for the vibrating alert, the small size, and the increase ruggedness. I found that my Nokia 6160 was not able to take the abuse I was dishing out. One bad aspect of the phone is it's phone book. You are not able to browse through alphabetically, rather you browse in the order that entries were added. This pretty much forces you to search for a phone number, but takes some time to get used to. I *love* the included quick charger. The phone charges from totally empty -> full in around 2 hours with the phone off, with the phone on it takes 3-4 hours. Sound quality is superior, and it is able to produce good sounding calls even in low-signal areas.
