| TiffA's Full Review: Sony Ericsson R280LX Cell Phone |
My fiance and I travel all of the time with our jobs and really needed a cell phone. I really didn't do much research but I knew that Ericsson was a good name so I decided to try it through AT&T. So far...so good!
Clarity
This phone is very clear most of the time. It reaches places that I never dreamed it would pick up signal. I have a friend who lives about 30 minutes from town in each direction and this phone still gets a half-signal strength and no one else can even pick up signal out there! The only places that signal strength really weakens and it gets static is in large hills or mountains. I am impressed, to say the least, with the clarity of most everywhere!!
My favorite features!
Internet Access: This phone allows you to get on the internet and check the weather, stocks, maps, email...you name it! That is one reason I picked this phone.
Call Ended Message: If you end a call, a "Call Ended" message pops up on the screen telling you how long you talked and that the caller has been disconnected. This assures me because I have had bills before with other cell phones when I thought I disconnected the call...BUT DID NOT!! OUCH!! Can you say big bill?
400 Names and Numbers: This phone allows you to store 400 of your closest friends, family and whoever else you want names and numbers! They may have overdone but I guess there are actually people who use them all.
Missed Calls: I love this feature...if it only told the time they called. This feature allows you to see who called while you were away from the phone and how many calls you missed. I just wish it showed the time they called, but that is the only downfall to it.
Battery Life: I could leave it on standby for a few days or talk on it for at approximately 3 to 4 hours.
Well, these are my most treasured features on this phone and I could go on but I think you get the picture. It is easy to learn how to use, the clarity is really good and it is durable (trust me on that one!).
Cons: Well, the only one is mentioned above under missed calls. Besides that...we love it!
