endurance's Full Review: Sony Ericsson T68IS Cell Phone
I have read through some of the reviews on this phone to see if I should purchase it, a number of things people noted:
- Iffy Battery
- Slow Menus
- Poor Reception
- Too Small
Now to put some of those to rest and cover some of my own views on this phone as I have had it two weeks now and LOVE it to death.
Battery Life
3 days without charging with moderate phone use - key is charge a full day before using. So far no problems with battery and that include leaving on Bluetooth and surfing the net via GPRS with T-Mobile's unlimited GPRS plan for $19.99.
Slow Menus
This is partly true. I experienced this when doing GPRS (the phone is actively working as a modem essentially) so like a PC with 20 applications open this phone is doing similar, same result with some heavy themes the phone provides.
To solve this keep the theme simple and the BT Wireless connection and menu speed evens out.
Poor Reception
If you are buying this phone I highly suggest getting it with the latest Firmware installed on the phone. If your looking for fair deals on Unlocked phones check:

Fast service, fair prices, quality product, and updated firmware. So what does reception have to do with firmware? Simple, updates to the protocols the services use are included in these upgrades allowing in a sense your phone to talk clearer to your cell provider. My T-Mobile results in Bakersfield, CA have been very good.
Too Small!
I somewhat agree. However with Bluetooth headsets and Bluetooth internet the phone is usually safely tucked away in your pocket so safe from scratches, falls and from sweaty slippery hand ;)
Overall Enjoyment of this phone?
Awesome. I paid $150 for the unlocked phone and it has done great, compatibility on your laptop / bluetooth card may vary, but there are a slew of resources for phones and bluetooth tech. I think you can find some great stuff to help you get this phone connected.
I didn't get this phone to be cool simply because of its looks - but for its features, the Bluetooth & Infrared were key in my purchase. This allows my Clie T665C and my HP Laptop to connect to the internet via IR and Bluetooth. An awesome tool for a server admin who needs quick steady access to your servers from anywhere. YMMV based upon your provider's support for internet features.
