I am using T-Mobile (the old Voicestream). I do get occasional blank spots in the tristate area. But my only other alternative is Cingular, which uses the same T-Mobile networks.

Thanks for the review. I just got one of these phones and was wondering what service you are using in NYC. It's a great phone but my service (which I won't mention) is so bad I can't make outgoing calls from my apartment and was thinking about going somewhere else.

I purchased this phone recently after reading some reviews on it. This is one purchase where I don't have buyers remorse.
