I recently purchased this on a contract, from www.mobileshop.com on the Leisure 500 (vodafone) tarrif 2 weeks ago, and since then on, have NEVER regreted it.
The phone was free, and came witha £12 month contract.
The phone itself has improved greatly from other reviews that i have heard, such as no more fragile microphones, and the plastic feels more robust previous (in comparison to my mates 1)
Im only 15, and carry such an active life of running around, and this phone is yet to fail on me, despite the rough knocks and throwing it has taken from me.
I really have purposely dropped the fone from about a meter or so on carpet, as to my understanding the phone is covered by insurance, and it really has survived!
The Menu system that the T28 employs is SUPERB. ok, it doesnt use flashy animation like the 3210, but it's clear, neat, easy to use, and GETS to the point rapidly.
The Phone has 2 games, both of which nearly all people should adore - Tetris and Soliatire. Despite being such a small screen, both games are very playable, taking full use out of the high-resoulution screen that the T28 uses.
Its soooo light at only 83grams, you could easily loose it if u dont hook it in your trouser pocket, or in your jacket's zip pocket. i see this as a good thing, as i can make use of the Vibrator during school times....
The battery life is again, a new generataion ahead of others. Only 4mm thick and it can maintain 48hrs standby , including an 1hr's calls very easily. The phone itself even offers a feature that allows you to see how many standy hours or talktime is left in the battery - very useful! its pretty quick to charge too.
Voice dialing is a dream, as ive had the PC blasting MP3s away and been able to use the feature accurately, unlike those 8210s. SMS is a breeze to use, despite not having a dictionary. The Ringtone composer is also pretty nifty, as i managed to get "Freestyler" onto it too.
And then the fact that the phone looks so cool AND small is beyond my dreams. THAT ARIEL will look, sick, at first, but you'll become to love it.
The additional modules, such as Bluetooth headsets, MP3 players, FM radio [very soon], Handsfree, and more, make it a very attractive phone for more than "just" personal use. it makes Nokia's 8210 look green on functionality!
All in all, id recommend this over an 8210 just for value to start with!
