Intro... I bought this at...
I bought the Sony Ht-1300D at best buy. I just missed the sale so I had to pay 529 dollars. Than a hundred more for 5 yr warranty addition. Than a 100 dollars more for 4 stand for the speakers that attach on the wall and ceiling, and tax on all that. The total came to a little over 800 dollars.

Setup
It was very easy to connect all the speakers to the reciever. It is all color coated. I had to buy some extra speaker wire witch is rather cheap for the back speakers. It than got harder when I had to connect the DVD Player to the reciever and than the reciever to the TV, than the TV to the reciever. I had to buy two sets of A/V wire, one to go to the TV and one to go from the TV to the reciever. I also bought Digital Optical Wire to go from the DVD player to the reciever. It is much easier to use because it is only one wire and It makes for much better sound. I strongly recommend using the optical cable because you can then get Dobly Digital Surround Sound, which sounds 10x better than the Prologic decoder they use withough Optical cable. I was able to hide all the wires from the speakers under paneling and molding but it might be a bit more tricky if you don't have paneling or molding on your walls.

Sound... Blew Me Away.
When I first plugged it in i was amazed by the ProLogic sound but after a while I got greedy and bough Digital Optical Wire. The Dobly Digital Sound with Optical Wire sounded 10x better. While watching Behind Enemie Lines missles and gun shots would seem to go right through you living room. The subwoofer is also very powerful for a 50 watt subwoofer. When it is turned all the way up and there is an explosion, you can feel the wind from it on your legs 10 feet away. If set up correctly the surround sound speakers sound good. If they are not evenly set from the listening position, that can be adjusted through the reciever.

Looks... You can probably see already.
You can probably already see how nice this system looks. It is a silverish color and the web over the speakers is also silver but it reflects the light and is kind of shiny. The whole system matches and if you are considering getting a TV to match I am pretty sure the sony Wegas and Sony Trinatons match. Some other cheaper brands also have a matching silver color.

Ease Of Use... First Negative.
I think the first bad thing about this system is that it comes with two remotes that are ugly, don't match, and look like they are from the 90's. They ar black and blocky looking. It certainly does not match the laid back silver look of the rest of the system. I know that if you buy the Sony C900 Dream Home theater system, which is cheaper, but much less powerful, you get only one remote because it is only a DVD player, not a reciever.

My Final Epinion.... I would recommend this to...
I would recommend this home theater system to anybody who wants a good under 1000 dollar system. If you wants something nicer you may want to try a bose system with 12 surround sound speakers, which costs a little over 1000 dollars. Overall I was not at all disappointed after I got all the kinks worked out and got optimum performance.
