| bbldwonder's Full Review: Sony ICF-CD863V Clock Radio |
I paid $99 for a Sony CD clock radio several years ago and have been so pleased with it that I researched the Sony's again before adding this one to another bedroom.
I have been so pleased with it that I can't resist writing a review. In addition to what the others have said, I want to mention other things that I really like:
1) Instead of having to press a button to see when your alarm time, it is always visible in smaller numbers below the time.
2) TV and weather signals comes in clearly and really nice to have!
3) earphone jack is a great feature if you want to listen to something [TV or radio] if you happen to be awake and don't want to bother bed partner...or listen to something other than what they are watching on television.
4) extremely easy to change alarm time from front while lying in bed as opposed to some that you have to do from above....like the original Sony
5) hrs and min can be changed separately backward or forward ...which makes it so easy and quick--unlike those you have to hold down until it moves to the nest 24 hrs.
6)last wonderful thing is that instead of the snooze being only one option--like 8 min., you can hit it once for 10 min....again for 20...again for 30, etc. Each time you tap it, it shows you the time you're setting it to snooze.
6)Multiple alarms can be set.
