I gave this as a gift to my father, who doesn't have the time to figure out SW frequencies and would like to listen to specific programs without having to search himself or enter the frequency. I programmed the stations for him, and he finds it very easy to choose the broadcaster he wants by choosing the page and pressing "scan" to find a signal. The synchronous detect helps a lot, and audio output through a BOSE wave radio sounds wonderful. I would heartily recommend this radio; if I had the spare cash, I would pick one up myself to replace my YB-300.
