Is it safe to buy a Sony again?

Pros: The TV has good Color. Nice look.

Cons: Screen acts like a mirror to room light. Pictures don't leave the screen.

I have a couple of Sony Wega 55" TV's that were supposed to be state of the art. It turns out I missed a secret recall. Now I am part of a class action lawsuit that is trying to get Sony to replace defective "optical blocks." SONY's answer is to offer the people with this problem $400 off a new SONY. It is a hard pill to swallow. They want us to pay them $1350 to buy this TV, so they don't have to repair sets that we paid over $3500 less then 3 years ago.
