Pros: Very easy to use, durable.
Cons: Some edit functions such as "name in" are hidden in Menu Button
The Bottom Line: there are better, but this model does do what it needs to.

| joe0boxer's Full Review: Sony MDS-JE470 Mini Disc Player |
I work for a radio station which uses the JE470's as their primary Minidisc decks. We love the affordability and the ease of use however some of our "power users" (myself included) find the most useful functions hidden in the Menu Button. Previous versions contained seperate buttons that sped up adding titles and editing tracks together. Digital/Analog rocording selection is not via a manual switch but instead, once again, is contained within a menu button. If you are looking for an extremely useful player that is worth the 200 price tag, i would suggest you look elsewhere before settling on this model. There are better.
Look for one with a PS2 keyboard port. That should speed up titleing of tracks.
