| toptechreviews's Full Review: Sony CLIE® PEG-SJ30 Handheld |
I purchased my Sony Clie PEG-SJ30 only 3 months ago and I am absolutely addicted to having this device at my side at all times. With its built-in rechargeable battery, High resolution color display, memory stick slot, and 16 MB DRAM, you just could not ask for a better combo. I was blown away by the quality of the pictures not to mention the video. It was like watching a miniature high definition TV. It was picture perfect, even in low lit or extremely bright areas. The jog dial navigator combined with the scroll button allow for very easy navigation.
While being very comfortable to hold, entering information is as easy as it gets. The Graffiti writing only takes a couple of days to get used to, but if not you also have the standard option onscreen keyboard. And when you are ready to sync it is as easy as point and click. That simple!! The software that came on the PDA took only a couple of minutes to install, but what a package!! PictureGear 4.6 Lite, QuickTime 5, Adobe Acrobat Reader and a few other 3rd party applications. All your MS Word documents from your computer are easily transferable right to your handheld. A To Do List, Memo Pad, Date Book, Address Book and Calculator are among some of the featured applications. And with the Beam Infrared Port you are able to transfer information to other devices without using cables.
The battery life could be a little better, but for entry level users this is my pick for you. Oh yeah, you have to be careful with the power/USB plug adapter, it is a little fragile.
Good Luck
