I have owned my Sony Playstation 3 for 2 months now and I have to say it is the best gaming system I have ever played. Granted I have played games since the first Pong and Atari systems and every other system that has came around and this one takes the cake. Even better than the 360 in some cases.
I have the system hooked up to a 40 inch LCD with a HdMI cable and the graphics are out of this world. I have a few Blu-Ray movies and those look fantastic as well. I would have to say that the movies boot up a bit slower than if it was a regular DVD player but thats the price of owning a dual system. I was surprised at the game play also as it can process everything that is going on the screen. There is some glitching at times when there is just a crazy amount of graphics going on but not too often.
I have to admit I have had the system lock up on me one time since I have owned it. I had to manually switch it off at the back of the machine. The system does heat up so I do recommend that it is well ventilated. The wireless controller works perfectly and I think most people will be surprised how accurate it really is. Also certain items can be controlled in the game by tilting or moving the controller without hitting any buttons which is totally cool.
One thing also is the 80g system is not completely backwards compatible with all the PS2 games. I have heard there is only about 70% of the games will work so that is kind of a downer but most of my games are the PS3 variety.
