First of all, the reception did not exactly blow me away. Also, a nearby powerful station could be sometimes be heard over top of weaker stations at the other end of the dial (poor image rejection). It also had problems pulling in weaker stations.
The other problem with this radio is that it does not have any sort of "scan" or "seek" feature. In order to find stations in a new area, you have to hold a tuning button down, and release it if you hear some music (similar to how you would tune an old-fashioned analog dial radio). If you are traveling to a new area and want to find some stations, this is a royal pain in the rear, as you have to do it by yourself. You cannot hit any button to have it find the next station. However, at least the audio can still be heard while the PLL is switching frequencies. This makes it easier to find station by hand.
On the plus side, the design is cute, and the size is nice. Also, the sound quality is quite pleasing using the included full-sized headphones (no earbuds here). As a station gets weak, the unit will switch itself from stereo to mono in order to avoid spitting out static (a nice touch). Also, the AM reception is OK.
