audiomagnate's Full Review: Sony Walkman SRF-M78 AM/FM Radio
I just realized that I'm a portable FM radio collector. I own six now: the Sony SRF-34W, Sony SRF-37V, Sony D24T AM/FM Discman, the MPIO FL100 mp3/fm player and the Sony SRF-78, the subject of this review. The combination of great sound quality and fantastic static free reception make the Sony my favorite. I've got the new Sangean DT-180V on the way, but this radio will be hard to beat.
I do have one complaint about about the SRF-M78. The volume control moves way too easily, it should have better damping. I use extemely sensitive IEMs (in ear monitors) and and the knob can get turned up very easily by accident to very loud levels.
As to the complaints about the lack of a belt clip, I just take the armband attachment off and pop the radio in my shirt pocket.
