| e_potato's Full Review: Sony VAIO GR390 PC Notebook |
I replaced my Sony Vaio because of limited memory. Also the earlier Vaio versions had a lot of devices that had to be connected externally. The GR390 has fastly improved video and the DVD / CD R/W is really the only I/O needed these days. The 3 USB ports are nice. A USB to serial adapter is almost required unless you have a docking station. A USB ZIP drive can also be added but the ZIP drive would require its own power supply. The GR390 is a bit heaver that I would like but not as bat as others. Battery life is adequate for my work. Units gets warm to touch when operating on your lap directly for extendedd periods of time.
