Pros: Before the defect occurs, it is a great system overall.

Cons: Class action lawsuits and petitions demanding recalls are found throughout the net!

ALL SONY VAIO GRX550 Laptops have a SODIMM Solder defect which causes the system to stop booting after approx 1-2 years. SONY is charging 700.00 to replace these defective motherboards!

Class action lawsuits and petitions demanding recalls are found throughout the net!

This defect is not exclusive to the GRX550 either!

WARNING: DO NOT BUY SONY LAPTOPS!!
