Overall, a good quality as you would expect from Sony, and for this money...The best TFT screen I've seen so far, large and with high resolution you can fit anything on the screen. The font's details are great and the graphic is awesome.
The cons are the laptop is fairly slow as original configured, probably due to a lot of (useless) software... Consider uninstaling those you don't use or buying the extra 256MB. The maximum supported memory is 512MB (2 slots for 256MB) a bit expensive.
One small inconvenient (for me) is that the network connector is under the same cover as the unused ports, they could make it separate...
If you have a digital camera, the built-in reader for Sony memory stick is useful, as well as the FireWire connector.
I could not get used to the speed scroller on the keyboard, so I just disabled it.
It is a bit expensive, but Sony had some good deals lately, so wait for the right time to buy.
