| cleftrock's Full Review: Sony WX-4500X Car CD / Cassette Player |
I have a '96 Mercury Villager minivan and needed to replace the defective factory cassette. I wanted the best of both worlds and found it with this Sony! A CD only skipped once and that was only after hitting a sizable pothole. The sound is clean and awesome using the factory mercury speakers. The only thing I don't like is I haven't gotten down the programming my favorite radio channels. There are definitely many features so study of the manual is required, preferably not while driving down the road. My factory stereo in the mercury was a double DIN face tapering to a single DIN back end, so modification of the bracket by the installer was required. Suggest having it professionally installed unless you have metal cutting tools. Price quoted includes tax and installation.
