bmcnichol's Full Review: Sorry Game by Parker Brothers
Sorry is another of my family’s favorite games. Boy isn't it fun landing on a space occupied by another player and smirking and saying, "Sorry" as you send them back to start. Or the fun of "sliding" and sending your opponents home.
The object of Sorry is to get your four pawns "home" before the other players.
Each player pulls a card in turn. If you draw a one or two, you can move your pawn unto the playing field but with a two, you get to go again. If a four is drawn, you move your pawn backwards. With a seven you can split the number between two of your pawns. With a ten you may move ten forward or one backwards, with an eleven you can go forward eleven spaces or switch one of your pawns for one of your opponents. And if a Sorry card is pulled, you can replace your pawn with one of your opponents.
There are also a few special spots on the board. The slide- if you land exactly on the top triangle of a slide, you can “slide” to the bottom, sending any of your opponents or yourself, back to start along the way.
This is one game I remember playing as a child and still love to play with my children. I would recommend this game for anyone, young or old. The product says it is for ages six and older but we started playing this game with my son when he was four. It helped him with counting and associating the number with the word.
You will not be “Sorry” if you purchase this game, Sorry is a great game that the whole family will enjoy.
