Pros:Works great, fits more than I could've imagined, works great, keeps out dust.
Cons:None. If the price comes down, I'll buy several more!
The Bottom Line: In need of storage? Then why not grab one of those Bed Bath and Beyond coupons they mail out and get yourself one!
I was very interested when I saw this tote online one day...so one day at Bed Bath and Beyond, I picked one up for around $20. I immediately got it home and we tried it out. I stuffed it with pillows, blankets and other "fluffy" things and then sealed up the top and used my vacuum to suck out the air. It worked great! And there was more room even! So from then on, I was sold on this product.

On a previous purchase (many years ago) I had a bad attitude toward Space Bags because I had purchased a couple bags from Rite Aid one time and they did not line up, close or suck out any air...and I just threw them out and felt mad that I wasted money on another "informercial product". But with the good internet reviews on this Space Bag Vacuum Storage Tote, I just thought I would give it one more try and I'm glad I did.
So far, I like to store my extra pillows, blankets, down blanket, and sweaters in it. I don't think it would store regular clothing quite well, but fluffier things it works great. So far I can fit 1 queen sized down comforter, 1 standard pillow, 1 queen blanket and a couple sweaters and there's still room! And there are no gaps, it closes up nice (not zipper style, but you use your fingers to close it like a sandwich bag). It has a double closure system (just in case air seeps through the first one). I think I was shocked when I first saw how large the plastic was. It's also very durable.
Let me mention, that it may take practice to do it correctly. I stuff things in (fold them up and place them inside the open bag (which sets inside the tote part). Then I close the zip part and start sucking air out with the vacuum. I try to reposition the bag and stop the vacuum if I see it say leaning one way or the other (to get it to go straight down into the tote). It sucks the items down and I zip up the top part of the canvas and it's like this perfect little canvas tote "box" shape. There is a one-way valve so no caps needed (which is awesome). I'll say it fits perfectly under my bed! I was shocked that this really did work, seriously. I had thought it was going to be bogus. I am always looking for good storage solutions, well underneath my bed is empty..so why not? I have so many blankets and pillows, they pile up and take up too much room in my linen closets and then fall over when I open the door. Plus I hate the fact dust gets on them, when I take them out of the closet I have to rewash them again. With this tote, supposedly I don't have to wash them. I did undo the tote one day to "smell" my stuff packed in there...and it smelled fresh still...so no dust gets in there at all that I can smell!
I would think the only downside would be that the canvas part of the tote will get dusty smelling over time since it is not washable. I almost wish it were made of plastic or something I could wipe down, but so far so good and I want to buy one or two more!
Now you can find these on Amazon.com for around $19.90 and a similar price at Bedbathandbeyond.com or their physical store. Bed Bath and Beyond likes to call it an "Under Bed Space Bag Storage" and Amazon calls it "Space Bag Vacuum-Seal Storage Tote-Large" but they are essentially the same thing for around the same price. When they first came out they were $30, so the price has dropped a bit. I would never want to pay more, though. I mean it's storage...one could get a plastic bin for under the bed for $5 or less, but since this would fit the equivalant of say 3 or 4 plastic bins, it becomes more worth it.
Here are the measurements (so you can see if it fits under your bed or not)...otherwise they may stack up okay on a shelf or the floor of a closet... 25 1/2" L by 19 3/4" W by 6" H. These would also work well for say winter jackets and storing a family's set of winter coats and sweaters. If the price were to come down 10$ I would probably buy about 10 of them for my garage alone!
