Hi, Bit - glad to see you over here.
Space Ghost is basic, but you have to think in 1999 terms - his simplicity was a welcome change from the ever-more-complex world of mainstream toys, and he was articulated with a classic beauty. Besides the nice accessories and packaging, he was also the first figure who could look "up" as he was flying, which was pretty stunning at the time...

I'm sure he is a cool figure, but, well, he looks so basic. I haven't seen the packaging yet so I can't judge that, and maybe you need to be a Space Ghost fan to really catch the beauty of this figure... but I just don't see what makes him a Toy of the Year.

I'm not one for action figures, but I am a big fan of Space Ghost, so I'd probably go for this one. Though, Brak's cooler...
