User Rating: Excellent
Pros:Durable, good battery life, music, colorful, lights, fun for all
Cons:No on/off switch
The Bottom Line: Help your child become the next piantist with the Sparkling Symphony Piano.
Everyone loves to buy Jordan toys that make noise, thinking it will drive me nuts with so many noisy toys. Their wrong, even I buy Jordan noisy toys that light up, play music ad could drive anyone nuts after hours of continuous play. One noisy toy I bought Jordan was the Sparkling Symphony Piano. I can't remember were I bought it (more then likely Toys R Us), since she has had it now for 3 1/2 years. I mostly bought the Sparkling Symphony Piano because at 6 months old, Jordan loved toys that light up and make music, this one has both. I wonder if all the piantist greats had this piano to start out with?

Hit those high notes baby
The Sparkling Symphony Piano is about 7 inches from one side to the other side and 7 inches from front to back of the handle. It stands about 3 inches from bottom to top and has a blue base that wobbles back and forth when your toddler plays beautiful music for mommy and daddy.
The playing part of the Sparkling Symphony Piano is all white. The handle is chunky, so it is easy for little hands to grab a hold of and carry around. On the top of the handle are three colorful stars, red, blue, and green.
Below the handle is a chunky 5 inch button your toddler can push up and down to play music and watch the keys light up. On the top are the words Fisher Price and on the front are three musical notes, red, blue and green.
Below the button are 4 piano keys (green, red, yellow and blue), that are chunky and measure about 1 1/2 inches across, between the keys are 3 silver keys that don't move, just make it look more like a real piano.
On the right side of button is a blue switch your toddler can move up and down. If you put it on the top selection (automatic mode) the piano will play by itself when moved or touched. The only problem with this mode is it very sensitive. You can walk into the room and the piano will start playing. When your toddler pushes down on the keys, the keys light up while your little one learns to play beautiful music. If you push down on the button, the keys light up and song plays for 20 seconds. "Do you know the muffin man?" and "If your happy and you know it" are two of the 5 songs your child will recognize. Some are children's favorites and some are classical pieces.
If you put it on the bottom selection (manuel mode) you don't have to worry about the piano playing all the time with any slight movements. In this mode to hear music and the keys to light up, you have to push down on the keys or buttons yourself. Besides the 5 songs that play, you can hear 3 sparkling sounds effects.
The Sparkling Symphony Piano takes 3 AA batteries. The battery life on the Sparkling Symphony Piano is great. In the 3 1/2 Jordan has had this piano, I changed the batteries once. The battery compartment is underneath, and is secured with a small screw, you will need a screwdriver to change the batteries. Another problem with the Sparkling Symphony Piano is there is no on/off switch. The manuel mode is the best thing to an on/off switch, but if you throw heavy toys on top of the Sparkling Symphony Piano in the toy box it can start playing even in manuel mode.
The Sparkling Symphony Piano is very durable, ours has a few scratches and few places where the paint came off, but again it has been in play for 3 1/2 years. It is easy to clean with a damp towel. The piano keys and button are easy for kids of any age to push.
Jordan's love of music and lights
When Jordan first got the Sparkling Symphony Piano she was only 6 months old so she mostly banged on the keys and laughed when the music played and keys light up. As she got a little older, Jordan would hit the keys and move to music and lights. Now days she doesn't play with it as much, but still gets excited when the music plays, not so much by the light show anymore. Jordan still has some other baby toys she plays with, but seems more interested in the ones in the toy store, then at home. I bet once her sister gets here in April, she will have a blast with all the new baby toys.
Give your infant or toddler the inspiration to become the next great piantist and buy them the Fisher Price Sparkling Symphony Piano. The Sparkling Symphony Piano has a big handle for little hands to carry around and is easy to play, so even the youngest piantist can get a head start at playing those tunes. Infants will love the bright musical lights and want to keep playing, and the Sparkling Symphony Piano isn't loud so mommy and daddy won't be bothered by too much noise.
