Pros:Works quickly and easily.
Cons:The smell!
The Bottom Line: This is a great product for those who are having a flea problem in their home. It is easy to use and will help with your flea problems.

I live in the piney woods of east Texas and the one thing we have here are fleas. Of course, having 1 dog outside and 1 inside doesn’t help with the flea problem. Our inside dog is treated by the Vet with Advantage for fleas, but with our outside dog it is almost impossible to keep fleas off of him.

We were having trouble keeping the fleas outside and they were not only bothering our inside dog but they were beginning to bite my family and I. This is when we took our inside dog to the vet to get a good flea treatment and to ask him what to treat our house with. He suggested that we use Spectracide Flea and Tick Killer to get rid of the ones that had already made it inside and to kill the eggs before they hatched. My husband and I went to Wal-Mart and bought the Spectracide to treat the house before we picked our little dog up from the vet.

Spectracide Flea and Tick Killer can be used to treat fleas both inside and outside the house. It comes already formulated and ready to use with a handy spray nozzle and hose ready to attach to the bottle. We brought it home and attached the hose and nozzle and began spraying the carpets, floors and all around the house on the outside. Be sure and test your carpet before spraying this product all over to make sure that it won’t discolor the carpet or furniture. We didn’t have any problems with that, but we did test all fabrics before we sprayed the product on it. This product does have a distinct smell but that only last for a few hours and will not leave your house smelling bad for days. We sprayed the inside of the house and then went outside while the carpet was drying and sprayed all around the outside of the house. This seemed to work really well, not only did it kill the fleas but it also seemed to kill the spiders and some other insects that were around the house.

Spectracide Flea and Tick Killer kills adult fleas and their hatching eggs to stop fleas before than can hatch and you have more fleas. We also sprayed our outside dogs’ house and bed before giving him a good flea dip.

The entire process only took a few hours and we noticed instant results. The nozzle and hose made it really easy to spray under furniture and appliances without having to get on your hands and knees and crawl around.

After about 4 hours we went back into the house and vacuumed really well, hoping to get the dead fleas and eggs out of the carpet. After getting everything sprayed, dried, vacuumed and the outside dog dipped, we went and picked up our little Chihuahua at the vet and brought her home to a newly sprayed home with no more fleas.

I would advise treating your house again in about 2 to 3 weeks after the initial treatment for fleas. This is the best way to make sure that there are no remaining fleas in the carpet.

We have been really lucky after the two treatments with Spectracide Flea and Tick Killer and treating both of our pets we have not had another outbreak of fleas. We do keep the outside dogs’ bed and house sprayed with this product on a regular basis now. It seems to have really helped our problem here in east Texas with fleas. We now have 2 happy dogs and a happy family with no more fleas biting us as we watch TV.

Remember, that Spectracide Flea and Tick Killer is a chemical and should not be left where children can have access to it. Be sure and wash yours hands and make sure your family does the same after treatment with this chemical.

I think that all in all you will be very pleased with Spectracide Flea and Tick Killer. It will definitely help your flea problem or it may get rid of it for good.

Thanks for reading.
