The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a napkin holder, the Spectrum Italio is a nice choice.

When I first seen the Spectrum Italio Napkin Holder while shopping at Kohl's I was attracted to its design. Purchasing a napkin holder was not something I intended, but I did not have one and it looked neat. So I convinced myself (and more importantly Shawn) that it was something we needed. I purchased it for about $8.
The napkin holder is chrome and puts a decorative aspect to a functional item. While a napkin holder is certainly not a necessity, it is nice to have for everyday dining. We do use cloth napkins on occasion for a fancier effect when entertaining, but it is usually just napkins or paper towels when it is just the two of us. So this spruces up the table a bit and looks better than just throwing napkins down.
The napkin holder also helps in keeping unused napkins from being taken away with the dirty ones or from being strewn about from a gust of air. I have also found it easier at times to grab a napkin from the holder than to tear off a paper towel when I am busy in the kitchen. The napkins are easy to release and you don't have to touch anything else other than the one napkin you need, so there is no worrying about getting other things dirty when you have messy hands - from cooking or eating.
It measures 7 1/2" x 6 1/4". It can easily go in the center or side of any table or even on the kitchen counter without taking up a lot of space. For cleaning, it just wipes clean with a cloth (or a napkin). I have washed it with soap and water once when I found dried mustard on it. Though I hate mustard and will not buy it, so I still wonder how that got there.
Overall, the Spectrum Italio Napkin Holder has done everything a napkin holder is expected to do. In fact, it has surpassed expectations by looking rather stylish while sitting there holding napkins.
