I was looking over the different types/brands of deodorants that are available and I came across this Speed Stick Clear Deodorant Active Fresh 90 ml. I recognized it straight away! I'm the type of guy who never gets the same deodorant or fragrance twice, I have no idea why I'm like that, I guess I just get bored with the same fragrances day in and day out, so I like to mix it up a little.

When I saw this on Epinions I had to smile a little. This is one of my speed sticks that I have been getting for several years back and still use! I liked the look of it first when I bought it, so I thought I'd take it home and give it a whirl. Or sniff. I was instantly pleased with the scent, a nice fresh aroma, mild yet masculine, reminiscent of the ocean and tropical islands...at least that's what I picture when I apply it! To this day it is still my favorite speed stick scent and I doubt there will be another even remotely close to bettering this smell.

I know all people have different tastes and some might not agree, but for me this smell is wonderful. When I applied it for the first time, I impulsively asked myself out on a date to a tropical island...and I said yes! Damn I smelled fine! The color of the stick even reminds me of the light hue of tropical waters.

Yes, there are drawbacks and that is why I didn't give it five stars. When I bought it I didn't read it properly and found that is WAS NOT an Anti-Perspirant. I was a bit bummed at that, but used it anyway and fell in love with the fresh scent.

Also never apply it to broken skin. I have somewhat sensitive skin but this didn't irritate it at all.

Ingredients: Propylene Glycol, Water, Sodium Stearate, Fragrance, Sodium Chloride, Stearyl Alcohol, FD&C Blue No. 1. 
  
The stick stands about 7" high and has easy grip sides to you don't drop it while applying to underarm. Using it is almost too simple to mention, turn the dial at the bottom like on all speed sticks to expose the required amount to use. There's no powdery or sticky residue either, which is a plus. I find that on other speed sticks my shirts end up with white streaks across it from my  Anti-Perspirants, Axe brand in particular is bad for that. This felt cool and moist to apply, with no discomfort.

You can buy these singulary for a couple of bucks and also Amazon.com sells these in six packs for under $12. 

My final views are that even though I love this  Speed Stick Clear Deodorant Active Fresh 90 ml, because it's not Anti-Perspirant I cannot wear it to work, as it wears off fast and my juicy underarms begin to take on a whole different kind of smell....yeah, lets not go there.
So I still use AXE Anti-Perspirants for work but only because they get the job done. For lounging around the house I will use my Active Fresh deodorant every time!
