Spiderwire the fishing line professionals use
Spiderwire has been around for quite a few years. It has just recently become popular over the past five years. I have never really been too particular about my brand of fishing line because I generally fish in rivers and lakes. Fishing in rivers and lakes I dont usually hook monster fish that test my line or reel. Although I never tell anyone that. Instead I tell my fishing buddies that I hooked Walter the Steelhead and he broke my line and got away. He must of weighed twenty pounds
But on the serious side, if you fish long enough youll eventually have your line break with a big fish on and its a real bummer because no one will believe you. I used to have a bad habit of just grabbing one of fishing poles and heading for the river. I rarely checked the age and quality of the fishing line that I had on the pole. Over the years I have changed my ways and lost too many fish. Salmon, Steelhead and large Rainbow can break your line if its not in good shape and your drag is not properly set. Now every year I restring my reels with Spiderwire fishing line. Now if I lose one its because the fish got one over on me and not because my line broke.

Conclusion
I like the Spiderwire fishing line for several reasons. First off the Spiderwire offers the fisherman a stronger line that is the same size as its competitors. Spiderwire is at least 25% stronger than most of their competitors. Spiderwire also offers anglers several varieties, types and strengths. I usually use the 10 to 14 pound while fishing for Rainbow and Steelhead. I use a heavier line for Salmon fishing. I also like to use the Super Mono multi-purpose florescent blue / clear line. This is a top notch monofilament line. It has 25% more strength, controlled stretch and is tangle resistant. It is readily available in most sporting goods stores from 8 to 20 pound test. I like to run 8 pound test on my ultra light pole while fishing in mountain streams. The smaller 4 to 8 LBS spools come on a 200 meter spool with a diameter of .28mm. I like having a quality fishing line that I can count on when I have a fish on. I also like not having to mess around with the rat nests that the cheaper lines can cause on a reel. This line has a nice smooth feel to it when you cast. It is also pretty sensitive. You are able to feel those fish playing with your bait right away and have good chance of setting your hook. I would recommend Spiderwire to any fisherman. If you are fishing in heavy weeds or grass you may want to try the braided line. There are three types; Braid, Fusion and Mono. I recommend the Super Mono for multi-purpose fishing. Youll notice a difference when you give it a try. I give Spiderwire four of five stars.
