Cons: Painful, expensive
The Split Ender looked like a great buy on the infomercials that so promisingly told me they would in fact get rid of my split ends right away. Having quite a few split ends I decided this was a must have product.
How It is Suppose to Work
You clamp your hair into the split ender and hold the handle down while moving down your hair to the ends. Inside the devise is suppose to recognize a hair that is split into two at the end and to cut off one of the ends.
The features this product says it includes are, Trims Split Ends and damaged hair ends, Maintains hair length, Promotes healthy long beautiful hair, Easy and quick to use, Safer and faster than scissors, Unique patented hair plate, Assortment of new hot colors, and has a new metal pressing handle for durability.
As I tried this product the first thing I noticed was that It was very loud and I was scared to use it. It is run on batteries and when you clamp your hair into it, the machine rotates inside to do it's job and it is very loud. As the hair is going through the tiny machine it is easy for it to get tangled and pulled which is not a pleasant thing to go through.
After I used the split ender I quickly came to find that the product cut not only my split ends but my healthy hair too.
The infomercial had many hair models and as the hairstylists would use this product on the models hair it would instantly make their hair look so much better. I defiantly fell for the infomercial when the models acted like it didn't hurt either.
I would not recommend this product to anyone. It is a scam and doesn't really work.
