Pros:Sweet tobacco scent and flavor, cheap
Cons:Definitely not a serious cigar
The Bottom Line: If you're in the mood for a cheap cigar, give Splitarillos' O.G. Sweet a try.
If you’re looking for a cheap cigar that’ll make you appear hip and trendy, look no further than Splitarillos, in this case their O.G. Sweet Splitarillos cigar (they also come in the following flavors: G6 Grape, Rozay Wine, and Swagberry.) Word on the Internet is that these things are the latest smoking trend on the street, resulting in a fashionable smoking experience.

Splitarillos O.G. Sweet’s are a cigarillo, 4 7/8” in length with a 28 gauge, roughly the size of your middle finger but a bit skinnier. They are made in the USA (Splitarillos are made by Trendsettah USA, based out of Commerce, California.) They have a natural (brown) wrapper.
Splitarillos have a very sweet tobacco scent and are very pleasing as you run one under your nose. Upon lighting (and these light easily, within a couple of seconds) you’ll notice that it’s fairly smooth for a non-filtered cigar (although my girlfriend started coughing and choking upon her first puff.) They’re classified as a mild cigar, and they are pretty mild—they inhale easily enough, although for as smooth as they are, they pack a killer buzz upon first inhale. And the sweet scent is prominent as you smoke, which is nice.
In fact, if I hadn’t known any better, I’d have thought that I had a Swisher Sweets Cigarillo between my fingers. The Splitarrillos smell, and taste, just about the same as their Swisher counterparts. Even the nicotine buzz is comparable.
Splitarillos O.G. Sweet’s are available in boxes of 60 (available on the Internet for as low as $17.99 a box,) and 25-count boxes (again, only $9.99 on the Net.) I buy them individually from my local Manitou Springs convenience store guy for just .50 cents each (including tax,) individually wrapped in red foil. That all equates to a very cheap smoking experience.
Of course, you aren’t supposed to inhale cigars like I do. As it says on the wrapper, “cigars are not a safe alternative to cigarettes.” They can cause lung cancer, throat cancer, cancer of the esophagus, not to mention mouth cancer, and heart disease. In other words, those are the risks, even though, as a smoker, you probably already know this.
And there you have it. Splitarillos O.G. Sweet’s are a pleasant smoking experience that pack a mean buzz. They’re hip and trendy. They taste good, and smell even better. If you’re in the mood for a cheap cigar and can find them, by all means, ask for one (you’re likely to find them behind the counter of your local convenience store or gas station.) Then light up and enjoy.
