Plot Details: This opinion reveals major details about the movie's plot.
This is a classic British comedy. It has some of the gang from Monty Python including Eric Idle and John Cleese, and also throws in Rick Moranis for an American funny guy.
The plot is laughable though to both Americans and Brits alike, as Eric Idle works for a jerk (a Duke) as a financial investor and later becomes fired for borrowing money, but conveniently his boss dies.
I will not give away the whole plot, but this movie is hilarious, and just one-liners here and there or a couple scenes with a laugh, the entire plot is goofy. Of course I am partial to John Cleese, I think the man is hilarious in and of himself. The other actors, also including Catherine Zeta Jones add to the film, as all the acting is great. Not to mention the lovely and unlikely sunny scenery. However you can find it somewhat predictable, but thats almost always true of comedies like this, but youll still be entertained.
Although Brits are more likely to understand the prim and proper procedures and get more inside jokes than us Americans, like I said earlier it is still likely to make you laugh, especially if youve ever worked for a boss that you wish would just die, or have ever been insanely jealous of a friend and tried to murder them for it.
