| full311's Full Review: Spring Air Back Supporter Mattress |
I spent time reading the other reviews. It's exactly like all the other bad reviews stated. I don't need to repeat everything they stated, but I will state a few things. Believe the bad things they say and stay away from this mattress! Do not touch a Spring Air mattress, not even with a 10 foot pole.
Yes, they are the most comfortable mattress to lay on initially, at the store. However, the mattress support will completely fall apart a couple months after you get it home. Spring Air, the company, will not honor the warranty.
I am 5'4", 120lbs. My husband is 5'7", 135lbs. We purchased our Spring Air Back Supporter (puffiest eurotop) for just over $2,000 from JCPenney in Michigan.
The mattress sunk into two major body depressions in approximately 2 months. Talk about a Sunk Cost.
Yes, we rotated the bed every 6-7 days during the first 4 months because we were told that the bed or pillow top would do something weird. But the JCPenney guy was strangely vague and confusing about it and made it seem like this was normal and that if we rotated the bed that nothing would happen or that we'd prevent anything from happening, and our precious bed would stay perfectly the same as when we bought it. He said we had to get past the first few months.
Spring Air, the company, says that my experience with deep sleep impressions is normal and they will not consider it a defect unless it is "center sag". Well, we have two sags, and the lady at Spring Air is completely unconcerned with our sags because it is not in the center. *humph*
We can't even roll over, not even from our back to our side, because it is an uphill battle.
The sides of the bed are so strongly reinforced, high as the hills, and the depressed sleeping boats so low, that I feel like I am in an old folks' bed: I can't crawl out.
Our backs are so sore, and painful from our bodies being bent the wrong way all night and not being able to move. It's like we are sleeping on a 20+ year old mattress with deep impressions, the kind that only grandparents keep around the house. Yet, our mattress started being like this at only 2 months old. Yeesh!
We are 27 and 29 and can not afford to buy another bed, especially so soon after buying this bed. We are too young to have painful, bad backs due to a horrible mattress.
We should've done our research before buying a mattress. (But it felt so comfortable at the store. Oh so deceiving!)
STAY AWAY from ALL Spring Air mattresses.
