Pros: May help ease Chronic Dry Eye and promote cellular and heart health
Cons: The size of a softgel is approximately 15/16". May be hard for some to swallow.
Spring Valley Flax Oil – Twin Pack may help ease the symptoms of Chronic Dry Eye and keep your heart and cells healthier too.
I’ve had Chronic Dry Eye for several years. I was using the prescription eye drops, Restasis; but I was not getting enough relief. After a couple of hours on the computer, my vision would be blurred; and I would start to rub my eyes because they were burning. My doctor suggested that I take 2,400 mg per day of Flaxseed Oil.
I picked up a Twin Pack, an even better value, of Spring Valley Flax Oil. There are 1,200 mg of Flaxseed Oil per softgel and 200 softgels per bottle. I take one softgel in the morning and one in the evening. I like taking any kind of supplement in a gelcap because I feel it gets into your system more efficiently than a hard tablet. The size of each softgel is approximately 15/16" which is relatively large. I do not have any problem swallowing these softgels; but if you have a problem with large pills, make sure you drink plenty of water. It is suggested on the bottle that you take this supplement with a meal.
In approximately a month's time I noticed a definite improvement in my Chronic Dry Eye condition when used with my Restasis eyedrops. My eyes are not as dry; and I do not experience as much burning and blurry vision as I once did. I do not experience any aftertaste from this product, nor do I have any side effects.
What I love about the Nature Valley Flax Oil is that there are no preservatives and no artificial flavors.
There are 25 Calories per two softgels and 1.5 g of Polyunsatured Fat and 1 g of other Fats in trace amounts.
Flaxseed Oil contains 1,080 mg of Alpha-Linolenic Acid (Omega-3), 264 mg of Linoleic Acid (Omega-6), 264 mg of Oleic Acid (Omega-9) and 120 mg of Other Fatty Acids. Other ingredients are Gelatin, Glycerin and Caramel Color.
Although not verified by the FDA, Nature Valley claims that this supplement promotes cellular and heart health and promotes an energy source for the body.
Warning: If you are pregnant, nursing or taking any medications consult your doctor before use. Discontinue use and consult your doctor if any adverse reactions occur.
**I make no claims for this supplement and concur that you should check with your doctor before taking this supplement, making sure to tell him about any medications or any other supplements that you may be taking.
If you have Chronic Dry Eye or if you just want to improve your cellular and heart health, Spring Valley Flax Oil may be the answer for you; and the Twin Pack is a great value.
