Pros: Location next to speedway
Cons: In dire need of updating.
The Bottom Line: Good location but this is a "motel," if you are used to full-service Marriott's or even a Courtyard don't stay here.

I just completed a stay at this hotel and it is really not up to Marriott standards.
Pros: The location is good in that it is directly off of Interstate 85 right within a mile of the Lowes Motor Speedway and also very close to the Concord Mills Outlet mall. You can also get Marriott points.
There are a number of restaurants that are very close, Texas Roadhouse is literally in the same parking lot. There is also a Sonny's BBQ, Zaxby's, Bob Evans and a Hooters all nearby.
Cons: While this hotel was built in the late 90's it really is in dire need of updating. The carpets are worn both in the common areas as well as the rooms. It is in need of a new paint job as well. The bathrooms were fairly clean but not sparkling. The beds are also in need of being replaced. The bedding is low end, no feather bed, no thick comforter, basically a sheet and a very thin bed spread. Do NOT expect 700 count sheets here--not even close.
The lobby is small and the business center is old and outdated.
The TV's in the rooms are very old and small, i.e. 25 inch at best. The HVAC in the rooms are the old "motel type" and are loud.
The staff was really not concered with my comfort and could seem to care less that I am a "Platinum Premier" (125 night per year Marriott rewards member).
While this "hotel" looks nice from the outside it is much more like a "motel." I would stay at nearly any other hotel in the immediate area or drive just a bit farther and stay at the Westin downtown or better yet, The Ballantyne (part of Starwood's "Luxury Collection")
