Cons: Bad camera angles at times, bosses too difficult to defeat
The Bottom Line: Hunter is a good, solid game which truly shines in multi-player mode, and I recommend the title to fans of survival horror and action/adventure genres.
In Hunter: The Reckoning, the gamer is able to choose one of four different human characters which are monster hunters. Hunter is at its best in multi-player mode, where up to 4 players cooperatively battle against the evil monsters which have taken over the town. Each character has different weapons and spells to cast. In fact, the variety of weapons available in the game range from chainsaws to flamethrowers, and truly make Hunter shine. The game is very dark and spooky, and the settings range from abandoned graveyards to old decrepit churches. Overall, I thoroughly enjoy Hunter and do recommend it. In all fairness, there are a few flaws that are worth mentioning, and cause this title to just fall short of greatness. At times, the camera angles can be very unforgiving and typically at the worst moments. The enemy bosses are frustratingly difficult to defeat, not due to their AI, but because they have about ten times as much health as they should! Hopefully, these issues will be recognized and ironed out for Hunter 2, which I eagerly await.
