Pros: Multiplayer, lots of hack and slash action, great challenge factor, 4 characters
Cons: Pretty difficult in some parts!
The Bottom Line: Hunter is a great game to pick up if you're looking for a challenge, as well as a cool multiplayer game. A great replacement for Halo!
Hunter's an awesome game for Xbox. Here's my take on it:
GRAPHICS: 9/10 The details in the graphics is very impressive, and you can tell starting with the flaming explosions at the beginning. The gore factor in your face, tons of enemies to kill, and the ability to zoom in and out when you start the killing. The character animations are all very fluid and well drawn, my favorite is the Duece with his axe and shotgun.
SOUND: 9/10 The whole soundtrack is right in line with the dark theme of the game, and jumps in at just the right time when out of the blue a ton of guys will suddenly appear and surround your character.
GAMEPLAY: 10/10 The learning curve is pretty straight forward, after a couple minutes you'll pick it up no problem. There are hidden moves too that you can learn, which gives a little challenge to more experienced players.
REPLAY: 8.5/10 I have read some places that this game has no replay. NOPE! There are 4 characters, so you get at least 4 endings, and THERE are secret costumes and other bonuses when you beat the game.
The multiplayer mode adds a whole other element to the game, and just like everyone says, it is a sweet @$$ way to play the game, since it's more challenging and fun with your buddies. All this makes a game that you will for sure pick up more than once.
