Pros: rich formula, the menthol scent clears up my sinuses as well
Cons: have to leave it on for two minutes
I have been using St. Ives Hair Repair Intensive Conditioner Moisture Treatment in the convenient one ounce packets for a long time. Now they have a handy dispenser in the twelve-ounce size, making it much easier to use on a weekly basis. The individual packets required cutting open with a scissor and then the squeezing out of the conditioner. Also there was too much inside the packet for one use, so I ended up wrapping it up and saving it for next time.
Now all I need to do is press down on the pump when I need to add a conditioning treatment. When you do use the St. Ives Hair Repair Intensive Conditioner Moisture Treatment, you will bypass using your regular conditioner and place this on your scalp and massage into your wet hair after rinsing from the shampoo step.
The cream is white and thick with a powerful scent that might take some by surprise. It took some getting used to but I always find my sinuses are cleared up instantly when I use the St. Ives Hair Repair Intensive Conditioner Moisture Treatment. The tingling on the scalp will happen instantly and it feels really good. Once the two minutes are up it is time to rinse thoroughly before toweling dry and applying other hair care products. I find no need to add anything on the days I do the treatment.
This is the perfect treatment for those of us who either color their hair or perm it regularly. For anyone who has damage to their hair that was caused by sun or blow drying, using the St. Ives Hair Repair Intensive Conditioner Moisture Treatment will make a big difference in the texture of your hair. The Swiss herbs, rosemary and mint are working their magic on your hair. St. Ives does not test on animals, is made in the U.S.A., and distributed in Los Angeles.
The ingredients include rosemary extract, wheat protein, wild mint oil, sage extract, menthol, chamomile, sodium chloride and soluble collagen. There is a diagram showing split ends before using St. Ives Hair Repair Intensive Conditioner Moisture Treatment and then the healing process once the treatment has been used. The added moisture makes my hair less frizzy when it has dried and it never is stringy. The scent is only when you are applying the conditioner and when it is working during the two minute application. Once you have rinsed the menthol scent and botanicals are not evident.
The conditioner does not burn or irritate my hands when I apply it to my scalp and hair. It is easy to rinse off with no build up and hair is shiny and just requires a quick comb through. It can be applied to the ends more so than scalp, depending on where the damage occurs. At least once a week this is recommended for anyone with dry or damaged hair. Please keep the pump dispenser away from children.
I would compare the St. Ives Hair Repair Intensive Conditioner Moisture Treatment to the conditioner you apply after coloring your hair and found in the same box. I did just that today and it seems to be the same result from the last time I used the conditioning treatment. Only once have I tried a hot oil treatment, having preference to St. Ives instead.
