The Natural stuff feels better

Pros: Delivers effective acne-fighting medication, exfoliates, and does not cause any irritation/burning sensation

Cons: the tiny scrubbing "beads" are not that easy to wash away

The Bottom Line: Among acne scrubs, St Ives just feels better.

I have tried several acne scrubs, and they usually work ok, but they all seem to cause a burning/irritating sensation on my skin. St. Ives is the only scrub that does not come with this burning sensation; in fact, it actually feels somewhat soothing. I'm not one who normally buys into the whole "natural is better and less harsh" rhetoric, but I think the Elder Flower extract in this product actually does soothe the skin as St. Ives claims on the label. It leaves my skin feeling smoother, cleaner, and refreshed instead of raw, red, and irritated as many of the other scrubs do. My only complaint is that the stuff does not wash away as easily as some of the "dissolving bead" varieties.
