Pros: Smells wonderful. Moisturizes as promised. Did I mention it smells wonderful???
Cons: None.
The Bottom Line: I absolutely love this body wash. The scent alone makes this worth the purchase. The fact that it is a wonderful soap and moisturizer is just a bonus!

| bonzobean's Full Review: St. Ives Swiss Vanilla & Vitamin E Moisturizing Bo... |
For some reason, since my first pregnancy more than six years ago, I cannot wear many perfumes or lotions without getting a headache. Ive found that many of the Victorias Secret body lotions and sprays are subtle enough for me to wear daily and Ive been wearing them ever since. I even use the Victorias Secret shower gels. My husband, however, does not care for the delicate, frilly scents on himself, and, as a result, I buy him his own shower gel, usually just something that I find on sale. Hey, hes not picky. Last month, I picked up St. Ives Swiss Vanilla & Vitamin E Moisturizing Body Wash on sale at our local market with the intent of just keeping hubby clean.
This Body Wash
I recognized the name St. Ives because I have used their products in the past and been happy with them. The packaging claims this body wash will, indulge your senses with great fragrances as you cleanse. The luxurious lather gently yet thoroughly cleans, leaving skin soft and smooth. Of course, I did not read all that when I tossed this wash in my cart. I was just purchasing a bargain. The rather bland container certainly didnt lead me to believe that hidden within that bottle was a body wash that was about to change my life or, at the very least, change where I shop for my own soap!
My experience
After running out of my own Victorias Secret Vanilla Lace shower gel, I was forced to use my husbands standard, run-of-the-mill St. Ives Swiss Vanilla Body Wash. I certainly wasnt expecting much. However, the moment I started using this body wash, the shower filled with a wonderful vanilla aroma. I wouldnt say the scent was overly strong but it really smelled quite wonderful. In fact, it smelled like my favorite vanilla mocha that I enjoy at our local coffee kiosk. The soap lathered up very quickly and I did not have to use as much as I normally do with my own soap. In fact, I must have been especially clean that day because I just kept using that body wash. I really enjoyed it that much. After getting out of the shower and donning my robe, I wandered downstairs. After my husband gave me a hug, he told me I smelled wonderful. To top it off, my skin felt moisturized. I had not even applied my normal body lotion yet. Because I do use body lotions and sprays though, I dont know how long the scent actually lingers.
Ingredients

My Recommendation
I must admit, Ive given up my Victorias Secret shower gel for the time being. In fact, if St. Ives ever comes with a swiss vanilla body lotion and spray, Id consider giving up Victorias Secret bath and body products for good. I am that impressed with St. Ives Swiss Vanilla Body Wash. And, after you are done enjoying the lingering, wonderful vanilla scent and admiring your newly moisturized skin, take into account that this lotion, at about $3.00 a bottle, is less than half the cost of other popular shower gels. Yes, I highly recommend St. Ives Swiss Vanilla Body Wash for a most refreshing shower experience.
