| csmith75's Full Review: St. Ives Whipped Silk Body Moisturizer |
Now that the fall months are here and cooler weather has arrived, I begin yet another season of trying out new products that will promise to moisturize my skin. I've had a few successes and a few failures. But St. Ives Whipped Silk Ultra Moisturizing Body Wash falls under the successes. I've been using this off and on since this summer and just purchased two more bottles this weekend.
Product Claims
- produces a luxurious lather.
- nourishes your skin.
- leaves skin soft and smooth.
Appearance, Smell, and Packaging
This bodywash comes in an attractive 13.5 oz. purple plastic bottle. When you open the blue top, you are greeted with a very pleasant flowery scent. The bodywash is purple just like the bottle and somewhat thick.
St. Ives also sells a body moisturizer in the same scent as this bodywash. It's called St. Ives Whipped Silk Body Moisturizer. I was very pleased with this moisturizer and would recommend that you use it in conjunction with this bodywash especially if you like the scent and would like to make it last longer.
Performance
This bodywash has a permanent place in my shower. I love using this bodywash. It produces a great lather from a very small amount of bodywash. The scent is lovely and smells up my entire shower. After I rinse off the bodywash, my skin feels incredibly soft and smooth. The only time my skin feels that soft and smooth is when I've exfoliated. It's such a pleasure to get the same results from just using a bodywash.
Also, my skin doesn't feel tight or dry after using. The scent does linger on your skin and I like to make it last by using the moisturizer along with it. It's not the type of "perfumey" scent that will give you a headache, but one that people have noticed and complimented me on.
Pros
1. Scent - I love the scent of this bodywash. It only comes in one scent, Soft Petal Breeze. It would be great if they made other scents as well.
2. Softness of skin - This is the main reason that I continue to purchase this bodywash. I love for my skin to be soft and using this achieves that every time.
3. Moisturized skin - Some bodywashes smell good and make you feel clean, but they leave your skin feeling tight and dry. This definitely doesn't. I still have to use lotion afterwards, but I'm not rushing to the lotion bottle like with some other bodywashes.
4. Inexpensive - I usually purchase this for $2.99. This is a good price for 13.5 oz of product. And since you don't need to use a large amount, the bottle lasts a while.
Cons
NONE
Conclusion
This bodywash is in the top 5 of bodywashes that I've ever used (and I've used a lot). The fact that it does everything that it promises and does so for a very reasonable price, makes me a repeat buyer.
